Settings

The Framis settings window — Launch at login, the Arrange Mode hotkey, Drag + Scroll, and app information across the General, Shortcuts, and About tabs.

Framis lives in the menu bar. Click the Framis icon and choose Settings… (its menu item shows a ⌘, shortcut) to open the settings window. It has three tabs in the sidebar: General, Shortcuts, and About.

General

  • Launch at login — start Framis automatically when you sign in. Toggle it off any time from the same place. See Installation for the first-run setup.
  • Drag + Scroll — turn on the optional mouse gesture for assigning a window to a zone mid-drag. When enabled, two more controls appear: the Trigger modifier (Control by default) and the Activation mode (Hold or Toggle). Full details are on the Drag + Scroll page.

Shortcuts

Set the global hotkey that toggles Arrange Mode. The default is ⌃⌥F. Click the recorder and press the key combination you want, or use the reset button to return to the default. Pick a chord that does not collide with your other macOS shortcuts. See Keyboard Shortcuts for everything you can press inside the mode.
